http not allowing access

I have finally gotten my samba and masq working.

however when I try to access the http server I get the following message

   the connection was refused when attempting to contact  192.168.0.1 ( 
or 65.203.174.137  or even localhost)

my windows machines bring up the did you mean this address web page. 

I  know the network is working fine because my windows machines are 
accessing the internet. 

what do you think I might try?????
