Unable to set DISPLAY localhost:0.0

Hello 

I installed FC2 (dual boot with Win2K); First i installed in Chr
mode and later in installed on top of it in GUI mode; I chose to
install the X pkgs but nevertheless i am facing problem while
trying to set all the following 
xhost + 
xhost +localhost 
DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 ; export DISPLAY 
DISPLAY=ipaddress:0.0 ; export DISPLAY 

Any help would be highly appreciated.
