I fotgot:

o 2.4 kernel as backup

o a _mininal_ window manager, some times in servers it's necessary to
  run X and kde or gnome environments are too much big and heavy.
  IMO Window Maker is the natural selection, it was latest WM to be
  deleted from the distribution, is stable, fast, light, and is
  compatible with mottif, qt and gtk apps.
