FWIW and although Promise RAID clearly s*cks, their IDE RAID FastTrack
controllers I have in some Intel 1U server work for me with the ataraid and
pdcraid modules in recent 2.4 kernels. I've had data corruption with 2.4.20
so I'm still running 2.4.18 on them. Earlier kernels required those
proprietary drivers, eesh.
