Anyone got the latest sun jdk + java plugin for mozilla to work?
Yes, it is working fine for me on Fedora Core with Mozilla 1.4 and Sun
JDK 1.4.2.
[rahul porsche rahul]$ mozilla -version
Mozilla 1.4, Copyright (c) 2003 mozilla.org, build 2003070310
[rahul porsche rahul]$ java -version
java version "1.4.2_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_01-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_01-b06, mixed mode)
[rahul porsche rahul]$ ll /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
total 4
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 66 Sep 29 03:00
libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
/usr/java/current/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
Try the following:
1. reproduce the problem with Mozilla (not Epi).
2. use a symlink instead of copying the file
3. make sure you are using the right version of the file
Hope this helps,
Rahul
