I'm expecting this to break on some setups. Fact is, CIFS is better
maintained than SMBFS is upstream, so we're looking for regressions
here to get the upstream maintainers to fix them.

If you've got Windows boxen (or anything else that speaks this protocol)
give it a try, and bugzilla any wierdness.
