xawtv replaced by tvtime or not? Otherwise I will patch it to havea shortcut in the desktopmanagers

I created a patch for xawtv so it would have a shortcut in gnome etc.
But on #fedora they tell me xawtv will be replaced with tvtime.
Is this true or not? Otherwise it's not worth the effort to add the
patch to the xawtv from fc devel.
