I guess Jakub will be happy to include the improved UTF-8 patches (note
that the author is Vladimir Nadvornik, I just made some suggestions on
what to fix), but I'd rather see some of Red Hat and SUSE's patches
merged upstream so we can bump to 4.6.1. Pavel Roskin has indicated to
me that he doesn't want to merge the UTF-8 patches yet, but that
shouldn't be a problem to use them downstream, as I am sure SUSE also
will. They do need some more testing however.

For now I first have to see which parts of the patches have already been
merged with CVS and which not, so I can propose some more of them for
upstream inclusion. But things are coming along nicely.
