Ok, I checked the man page for resolv.conf (as a side note: please
tell me who I have to bribe for updating the yelp package with the
patch for giving me back the man and info pages...

meant to use:

options ndots:0

that actually worked...

Now few questions:
* is this a bug?
* if so, do I have add a bugzilla entry for it?
* will that manually added option be preserved when dhcp will update
resolv.conf?
