Selecting a few random pages with images in mozilla and pasting into
writer fails to give me a lockup. Would be far easier to attempt to
reproduce if there was a specific URL which was known to lockup, and
data as to which browser and version is being pasted from (and if its a
full page or partial page which is being pasted). Perhaps it's related
to page encoding (doubt it), or what is possible is that it is due to
webpages which contain complicated tables, esp tables in tables.

You could experiment with paste->special as well to paste as
"unformatted text" to see if it occurs with a raw text paste, which is
unlikely to hang, but important data if it does.
