It doesn't boot for me either, but for very different reasons.  On my
Athlon64 notebook (only AMD64 box at home) it oopses very early in the
boot, as in, shortly after decompressing the kernel image.  I was
going to file it late last night, but figured I'd have a newer kernel
this morning to try and didn't get that far.  Downloading it now...
