The Fedora patch proceeds the upstream feature and apparently nobody has 
yet to request a merge in bugzilla. See this prior thread:

explanation of the current Fedoraesque --once feature. Last month it 
saved me a trip from California to Hong Kong to clean up some wrongly 
provisioned cluster boxen.
