AFAIK Fedora imposes some naming conventions on packages etc. The OGo  
provided RPM packages use a single naming scheme for all distributions.

Well and of course a lot of the 'automatic environment  
detection' (like which Apache/PostgreSQL versions are running) could  
be removed from the packages if it is focused on a specific  
distribution.
