$subject, the laptop is Acer Aspire 3003. The Acer company says that the card supports 3D Acceleration Graphics. but when i try to "enable desktop effects", it says "couldn't enable desktop effects". Xorg.0.log says the dri module is loaded but then it is unloaded. please help. is there any workaround?the xorg-x11-drv-sis is installed but still the desktop effects can't be enabled. regards, amit.
