I had that problem, too.

I think it's the same issue as here:

You should re-run the prelink job for the day. If it returns too
quickly, remove the prelink cache and run it again.

rm /etc/prelink.cache
/etc/cron.daily/prelink

After that you should be able to log in. I've found sudo doesn't work,
but su starts working again.


Prelinking doesn't help on my x86_64 system. I can su to a user, but I can't su to root.

[root hawk ~]# rm /etc/prelink.cache
rm: remove regular file `/etc/prelink.cache'? y
[root hawk ~]# /etc/cron.daily/prelink
[root hawk ~]# su - jcliburn
[jcliburn hawk ~]$ su -
Segmentation fault
[jcliburn hawk ~]$
