My laptop's screen is 1280x768, but the desktop background displayed
for the LiveCD is 1600x1200.  The Display Settings configuration app
shows the correct resolution.  Is it possible to have the desktop
display a widescreen background automatically?

I found a couple of bugs that seem somewhat related.  Is a new bug
report needed?
