sudo autotools - recursion limit of 1024

Hi folks,

could you help me with this:

$ cvs -d anoncvs anoncvs sudo ws:/cvs get sudo
$ cd sudo
$ autoreconf
/usr/bin/m4:configure.in:2321: ERROR: recursion limit of 1024 exceeded,
use -L<N> to change it
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1

any idea how to locate the problem?
