Hi,
Is there a String Resource or equivalence in RPM package that one can edit
using Hex Editor and have the package still valid without another rebuild?
It can be text or binary, but it needs to be uncompressed, and not
affecting RPM package checksum.
It would be best if #postinst script can easily query the value of the
String Resource.
I guess a less-optimal compromise is to repackage the RPM only, without
rebuild the binary tar ball, so that files can be modified or added before
repackaging.
What is the least effort, best practice?
Thanks in advance for any information.
