I'd assume many of those are warranted, but likely not all.
I'd also assume not malice, but just not knowing better.
bugzilla cases of finding items should aren't (or shouldn't be)
gnome-specific.

In fairness, there are at least a few, look in
/usr/share/applications/kde/*.desktop
