The use home directory shouldn't have non dot files (or directories)
used by the applications. (There are allready the Desktop and GNUstep
directories, but in my opinion they shouldn't be there). Reason is
that the user home directory should be manually managed by the user
solely, in order to keep a clear distinction between what is under
the responsibility of the user and what may also be touched or used
by applications.
A user may still do links at will. And apps can go and look within
dot files/directories and make directories appear even though they
are not at a given filesystem location.
