I don't have anything called "java-plugin" installed, but Java seems to
be working fine:

pts/7 mharris at hammer:~$ rpm -q java-plugin
package java-plugin is not installed

Both of those pages work for me and correctly detect "Java 1.7.0 from
Sun Microsystems". Again, note that I did not install Sun Java, so this
message is coming from iced-tea presumeably. Here's a query of my
system showing what packages containing 'java' in the name that are
installed:

pts/7 mharris at hammer:~$ rpm -qa | grep java | sort
glib-java-0.2.6-8.fc7
java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0-17.fc8
java-1.7.0-icedtea-1.7.0.0-0.19.b21.snapshot.fc8
java-1.7.0-icedtea-plugin-1.7.0.0-0.19.b21.snapshot.fc8
java_cup-0.10-0.k.6jpp.1
tzdata-java-2007i-1.fc8

If you have any proprietary Java packages installed, remove them, and if
you are missing any of the above packages, install them. Then restart
firefox, or reboot.
