Do you see the SSID for your AP in iwlist, or do you only see the MAC
address of your AP, and the SSID is "<hidden>"?

In any case, can you post the output if iwlist for your AP (obfuscating
the MAC address if you like) ?  NM shouldn't be asking for a
passphrase/key if the AP's not encrypted.
