In a system I've used, the login conversation is either:
- What's your name?
+ My name is Foo Bar.
- What's your password?
+ My password is Blahonga.
Or:
- What's your name?
+ My name is Gazonk.
- Unknown user, is that really your name?
+ Yes.
- Would you like to create an account?'
...and so on.
Or:
- What's your name?
+ My name is Gazonk.
- Unknown user, is that really your name?
+ No.
- Please try again. What's your name?
...and so on.
That might serve as inspiration.
