I don't see why not. There's already examples analagous to this in
Fedora, for example the CBIOS firmware (ROMs if you prefer) for OpenMSX
is compiled from z80 assembly source using sjasm in the RPM. The
resulting binary blob is of course z80 code designed to run under the
emulator.
