symlinking
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-icedtea-1.7.0.0.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so 
to
/usr/lib64/firefox-2.0.0.8/plugins/gcjwebplugins.so
did the trick tho.
