Fedora 9 alpha recovery disc problem

The Fedora 9 Alpha recovery disc does not recognize encrypted
partitions/discs.  Mounting them is non-obvious.

Also, if the X server does not start, it goes into an infinite loop
instead of prompting you to fix the problem.  This makes it quite
painful if you were foolish enough to try and install the proprietary
nVIDIA driver.

Another thing...  How do I get rid of these damn "guest" accounts.  The
gdm config programs seems to no longer exist.
