default partition scheme without /home - why ?

No, the user would really only need to know how much space to allocate 
for his own stuff and how much for the fedora system - and you should be 
able give a pretty good hint about how much fedora needs.  If he reads 
docs, he'll have to go through about 20 pages to realize it is that simple.
