I had this problem today as well.  My solution was to boot to runlevel 3  
and download the latest stuff directly from koji (which I guess will be in  
rawhide tomorrow), and it worked fine after that.  I don't know which of  
the updates I grabbed from koji fixed it, as I just grabbed all of them.
