Can you please announce any soname bumps here on the list *before*
rebuilding to give other package maintainers a chance to rebuild their
dependent packages in time for the next rawhide compose?

At the very least it gives people a heads-up that some things might
break in the next rawhide. Especially when those dependent packages
aren't owned by you such as qgis and python-basemap:

Advance announcements of soname bumps on fedora-devel-list is
especially important when we are getting close to the final freeze.
