Unfortunately, the last one I remember was so generally worded I can't
find a significant keyword to nail it in google

The first reflex of a spin author is always to drop fonts to "save
space" and keeping two different font sets does not help choosing the
right ones to drop. Spin space is contended.

I've stated several times I was a layout maintainer in kbd and xkb.
(This is easy to check either in google or greping those component
credits.) Anyone that follows this list knows I contribute to the fonts
SIG. I'd say this is qualification enough to have an opinion on the
console state.

And if you do not know what that means, please do not talk about
handwaving.
