Texlive schemes?

Installation seems to work now, but the installation of

  texlive-kpathsea-2009-3.16044.fc12.noarch

(and possibly much more packages) hangs because kpsewhich hangs forever
(using 100% cpu).

Do you have any clue whats going on? Any chance to get this fixed before
christmas?
