Yes, ntpd was set to run, "chkconfig --list ntpd" showed run levels
2345 with ntp running. We have a local time server that it was using. I
disabled that, reset to inittab=5, boot, and still no graphics screen.

- -rw-r--r--  1 root root 31335 Feb  8 14:19 Xorg.4.log
- -rw-r--r--  1 root root 31335 Feb  8 14:19 Xorg.5.log
- -rw-r--r--  1 root root   804 Feb  8 14:19 Xorg.setup.log
