another one was with a brother who needed to pass some option to make
cursors appear [it was an S3 Chrom VGA card] he needs xorg.conf file
to save add this option

another case when I don't like 190000x160000 default resolution
and I want a smooth entry from GDM, so I set both to the same resolution
