I am going to agree with Mr. Fenzi 100%. The cli interface being a must and the bridging would be nice but I also want to add one: NIC Bonding.

Here's my short list of things I would like to see implemented before
s-c-network goes away:
- bridging support in NM
- command line configuration/management tool for nm
(I would think this could just be a management tool and have some
config file to change config, I don't care which).
