Absolutely, Fedora is more than just GNOME/KDE/XFCE/et al.! I think
this strategy is the best one -- to build on what already exists -- the
FOSS way, eh? Then the DUG can concentrate on getting the user familiar
with the default environment.

Yes, it's too bad about this, really. But we can look on the bright
side, which is that if we run into a situation where the GNOME/KDE/etc.
DUG doesn't suffice as a reference, we can always submit patches
upstream, much as Fedora does for code, thus improving the docs
ecosphere for everyone. (Why yes, the world *does* look rosy today!)
