keychain: agent manager for OpenSSH, ssh.com, Sun SSH, and GnuPG Keychain is a manager for OpenSSH, ssh.com, Sun SSH and GnuPG agents. It acts as a front-end to the agents, allowing you to easily have one long-running agent process per system, rather than per login session. This dramatically reduces the number of times you need to enter your passphrase from once per new login session to once every time your local machine is rebooted. I promote keychain as a very handy tool which offers the nice possibility to use passphrase protected keys through cronjobs, i.e. for scheduled, unattended backup jobs. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/keychain/ keychain is made made by Aron Griffis from gentoo.org. He even offers (s)rpms. I just did small changes to the .spec file. http://www.uni-x.org/keychain.spec http://www.uni-x.org/keychain-2.5.4.1-1.src.rpm Alexander -- 1024D/866ED681 2005-07-11 Alexander Dalloz (Fedora Project) <alex dalloz de> Key fingerprint = CD40 0A91 7814 C1E4 5940 8E0E 1FD5 C316 866E D681
