I don't know what you tried to apply against what and why you did not
just rebuild what can be found in Extras CVS, so look here:

  http://extras64.linux.duke.edu/failed/development/octave/2.1.70-1/i386/

It's the i386 binaries as created by the Fedora Extras build system
before it failed on x86_64.
