Question about supported mime-types in /usr/share/applications

Hi.

Since the bmp version we ship for extras has it's mp3-decoder removed,
should the MIME-entries for audio/mp3 and friends be removed from /u/s/a,
too? If yes, can external packages that re-add mp3 decoding somehow reregister
those MIME-types for BMP?
