Pardon? Is /proc not mounted inside the chroot at all?

FC-4 buildsys is still lacking /dev/stdin:
http://buildsys.fedoraproject.org/logs/fedora-4-extras/7170-wine-docs-0.9.11-0.1.fc4/noarch/build.log

The ugly hack in the wine-docs package is still enabled in order to get
a successful build for FC-4.

What would happen inside the strace if the buildsys created /dev/stdin?
