Crontab and init scripts

What's Fedora policy on this? I guess I'm mostly just interested in
being consistant. One option is provided in the bug report. In this
instance I could also add an exit to the config with a comment about
removing the exit after it has been configured.
Yum I know is an example of a script that runs via cron that also has
a init startup script.
