FWIW, aumix is still in Core's CVS repo.  The last changelog entry is:
* Thu Dec 23 2004 Mike A. Harris <mharris redhat com> 2.8-12
- Updated aumix-fix-crackrock.patch to include errno.h, or build fails now

Probably no reason why I couldn't be submitted to Extras...
