It'd be interesting to know what lib webkit uses for text layouting.
Its root are in KDE and KDE tends to use QT's less than ideal
layouting engine. OTOH GTK apps tend to use pango. If gtk-webkit uses
somethingin the middle it's not surprising it behaves stangely.
