I've built a kernel from Dominic's SRPM and have installed it on a
machine with an 82540EM ethernet controller. This is working with
the standard e1000 driver, but ethtool -d only shows 32 bytes of
data. With the previous kernel (2.4.18-18.7.x) I got 128 bytes.
So it seems that the patch from FC1 is correct. I'm currently
building a new kernel with that patch.
Meanwhile,
# uptime
2:36pm up 31 min, 1 user, load average: 0.30, 0.41, 0.33
it look OK...
Ron
