IIRC up2date was not able to access yum and apt repositories until the
version that shipped with Fedora Core 1. It may be worth taking the FC1
SRPM and rebuilding it RH9.
Not sure how that effects the little gui applets that come with it though...
The ones in FC1 just pick up the setting from your up2date config.
