GIMP 2 RPM for RedHat?

Hi!

I tried to recompile the FC1-SRPM of the brandnew GIMP 2 stable release
from ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/users/drc on a RH9 system.

Problems are failed build dependencies:
        gtk2-devel >= 2.2.2 is needed by gimp-2.0.0-1
        fontconfig-devel >= 2.2.0 is needed by gimp-2.0.0-1

I tried rpmbuild --rebuild --nodeps gimp-2.0.0-1.src.rpm,
but the GTK+ test program failed, so it seems that those newer versions are
really needed. Can anybody tell me how much needs to be done to do the
recompile w/o upgrading the entire RH9 system to FC1?
