This reminds me. If there is a new kernel "in works" then maybe
it should also include a fix for nforce2 boards based on an
information recently provided, at last, by Nvidia?
See:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=1RUTd-1Ji-5%40gated-at.bofh.it&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26q%3Dfixup%2Bfor%2BC1%2BHalt%2BDisconnect%2Bproblem%2Bon%2BnForce2%2Bchipsets%26btnG%3DSearch%26meta%3D
and the related thread. The patch there is 2.6 but it should be
adaptable to 2.4 as well. Actually looking closer Ross Dickson
posted that patch rediffed for 2.4.26, and this should fit into
other 2.4 kernels as well, but I do not see this on Google yet.
Opinions?
Michal
