I wouldn't hope too much, though.  Someone would have to QA those 
updates, and we've had a shortage of QA lately as it is.

Personally, I'd say that if we go for x86_64, we shouldn't do any QA 
on them or at least their lack of QA must not hold up the other 
packages.
