That gave me this, surprisingly, on three machines :
=====
[root localhost root]# gpg --list-keys
gpg: /root/.gnupg: directory created
gpg: new configuration file `/root/.gnupg/gpg.conf' created
gpg: WARNING: options in `/root/.gnupg/gpg.conf' are not yet active during this run
gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg' created
[root localhost root]#
=====

On the first and main machine, one where I do get the GPG error, that gave:
=====
[root localhost root]# gpg --import /usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/RPM-GPG-KEY
gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/secring.gpg' created
gpg: can't open `/usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/RPM-GPG-KEY': No such file or directory
gpg: Total number processed: 0
[root localhost root]# gpg --import /usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/Fedora-Legacy-GPG-KEY
gpg: can't open `/usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/Fedora-Legacy-GPG-KEY': No such file or directory
gpg: Total number processed: 0
[root localhost root]#
=====

Well, I hope I understood the correct "above" to repeat. I did :
=====
[root localhost root]# rm -rf /root/.gnupg
[root localhost root]# gpg --list-keys
gpg: /root/.gnupg: directory created
gpg: new configuration file `/root/.gnupg/gpg.conf' created
gpg: WARNING: options in `/root/.gnupg/gpg.conf' are not yet active during this run
gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg' created
[root localhost root]# gpg --import /usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/RPM-GPG-KEY
gpg: keyring `/root/.gnupg/secring.gpg' created
gpg: can't open `/usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/RPM-GPG-KEY': No such file or directory
gpg: Total number processed: 0
[root localhost root]# gpg --import /usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/Fedora-Legacy-GPG-KEY
gpg: can't open `/usr/share/doc/yum-1.0.3/Fedora-Legacy-GPG-KEY': No such file or directory
gpg: Total number processed: 0
[root localhost root]#
=====
Trying again, I still get :
=====
[....]
Is this ok [y/N]: y
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 8df56d05
Error: Could not find the GPG Key necessary to validate pkg /var/cache/yum/fedora-stable/packages/perl-DateManip-5.42-0.fdr.2.a.1.noarch.rpm
Error: You may want to run yum clean or remove the file:
/var/cache/yum/fedora-stable/packages/perl-DateManip-5.42-0.fdr.2.a.1.noarch.rpm
Error: You may also check that you have the correct GPG keys installed
[root localhost root]#
=====
So did I misinterpret what to do over again? Or what?
