up2date and (non transparent) proxy

Hi,

I have this problem (it seems i'm not the only one :-( ) that i cannot
update my fedora with up2date behind a non transparent, anonymous proxy.

I've already search bugzilla and the mailing list archives, already
tried to export http_Proxy=proxy.ua.pt:3128 (my proxy), but nothing
seems to work.
The up2date program just seets there and hangs.

Has anyone around here successfully updated feora being behind a proxy ?
How ?
