No Sound on D865PERL Intel Motherboard (SoundMax)

Hi

I am having problems getting sound working with my Intel on-board sound
chip (SoundMAX I think). I have downloaded and installed the latest ALSA
RPM from the Fedora web site but still no joy.

When I run soundcard detection it finds Model: Intel 82801EB AC97 Audio
controller it then attempts to load the i810_audio driver that fails to
load.

I am a newbie. Please be gentle.
